A few years ago two leading craft brewers, Vinnie Cilurzo of Russian River and Adam Avery of Avery Brewing, realized they both brewed a Belgian-style ale called “Salvation.” Instead of fighting over the rights or one of them changing the name of their beer, they decided to blend them together. The result: Collaboration not Litigation Ale.
