  • It would be nice if members got a discount even though it is a benefit.

    • Larry, this isn’t a Black Star Co-op event. We’re just hosting the festival for Edible Austin’s Eat Local Week and it is a benefit for Urban Roots.

  • Will Black Star have new hours starting this weekend? I was hoping to have lunch there before the Brewers Fest…

    • We’re doing the Sunday roast as a test service, and will be exploring expanded hours in the new year.

      • Thanks for the scoop, Steven! I very much look forward to an exciting weekend of events, including the Sunday roast!

  • Just wondering what you’re paying for when you buy the ticket. Everywhere you look they say there will be lots of craft brewers there and it costs $15; no other details. Does the ticket include samples of all beers or a certain number? Is there any food included? Details please!

    • A $15 ticket gets you 12, 2 oz samples of beer, appetizers provided by Wheatsville Co-op and Black Star Co-op, and some other sample items. All proceeds go to Urban Roots. We hope you can come out and support this great cause!

  • UPDATE!

Rahr & Sons Brewing will also be participating in the Eat Local Week’s Texas Craft Brewers Mini-Festival. See you there!

    • Glad to have you there!

  • Are tickets available at the door?
