With the spirit of cooperation guiding them, our chefs, Michael Holland and Johnny Livesay, have created a Texas pub fare menu that complements our beer and is true to the vision of Black Star.

Over the past few years the desire for locally sourced and sustainable foods has gained momentum and moved into the public’s awareness. Austin is fortunate to be surrounded by a community of conscientious farmers and ranchers who are devoted to growing and raising the highest quality products for local consumption.

Our chefs believe that Black Star’s high quality craft beers must be complemented by well-executed, high quality food. Like the beer menu, the food menu will feature both Rational and Irrational components. Our Rational menu will consist of year round offerings such as the Black Star burger and fish and chips, whereas the Irrational menu will be devoted to seasonal locally inspired fare that showcases the bounty of our region.
